As I Iie here binging on Monday night. I chose a night in. I chose a quiet night for myself. A home cooked meal. An old fine favorite: avocado tomatoes and eggs taco. A glass of wine. I sat watching these people’s stories. I kept reliving mine. Past romances. Past moves. Past hardships. New friendships. Best friends. Closer to family. New experiences. New opportunities.
I know those that care about me in my life want to see me happy. Want to see me settled down. With the love of my life. Growing a family. Living for every moment of every day. And I really believe I’m getting closer. I’ve been chasing after that for as long as I can remember. 3 years ago. If you had told me that I would have to experience all I have in my life to show up, turn up where I am today. To take advantage of everyone I have met. Every place I have lived. In order to be where I am at this very moment. I would never have believed you.
After days. Weeks. Months. And years. Of hard work, self discipline, and commitment to being a better person. I can finally say. I wouldn’t be where I am today without every past experience in my life. To those of you that have stuck by me. Stuck with me. Watched me endure. Struggle. Learn. Grow. Challenge. Find peace. And continue to find what I need in life. Thank you. Thank you for being a part of my story. More importantly. Thank you for letting me be a part of yours.
